Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park lies nestled in Botswana’s north-east corner; neighboured by three other African countries. The Chobe National Park is home to the worlds’ largest elephant population, scores of other large herbivores, amazing birdlife, and Africa’s largest predators: lions, leopards, and wild dogs

Camping in Chobe is synonymous with excellent animal sightings in and around the camp-sites and one is always aware and alert to the wildlife that passes through the camp-sites during the day and the evenings. The opportunity to be able to camp in the wild with the minimum facilities makes one realize how amazing this African continent and its abundance of wildlife can be.

Options on our mobile camping trips are available departing every Tuesday and every Friday either from Zimbabwe or Zambia.

Chobe National Park Camping (one day, one night)

Chobe National Park Camping

Day One: Early morning pick-up from hotel or lodge in Victoria Falls and an hour drive to Kasane in Botswana. A three hour morning boat cruise along the Chobe Riverfront follows, with its fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape Buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. Game drive to wilderness campsite and picnic lunch, followed brief rest period and then an afternoon game drive in search of big game for which the park is famous. Return to camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner. Day Two: Early start, and after a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light breakfast undertake a final game drive as you leave the National park, to be dropped off in Kasane before your transfer back to Victoria Falls.
